Dr. Ibrahim Odeh is currently a faculty member of Columbia’s school of engineering and the founding director of the Global Leaders in Construction Management (GLCM) initiative there. He assists top leading construction firms with strategic management tasks in areas related to: strategy and business development; infrastructure and construction market analysis; and market entry strategy with leading firms such as Skanska, AECOM, Turner, Dentons, Vertex, HAKS, and STV. Dr. Odeh also set as an industry expert and advisory committee member at the World Economic Forum (WEF) on a multi-year project focused on studying "The Future of Construction". He also an advisory board member at Financial Times in London on the “Future of Construction” Summit.

Dr. Odeh is a key developer using the new format of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), of Columbia University’s Construction Project Management and Planning Specialization program that features 20 industry leaders from academia and company as instructors. It is the first on line educational platform, offered through, to focus on courses in civil engineering and construction, with more than 27,000 students of all ages and from around the world completing it since its debut last October. The four-course program can be accessed for free, or can be taken, with completed assignments, to gain a certificate for a nominal fee.

Dr. Odeh received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction Management from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also holds an MBA degree and serves as a member of several advisory boards and committees such as: World Economic Forum; Financial Times; CG/LA Infrastructure; Smart City Works; Columbia University Middle East Research Center.
